Wanted Khalistani terrorist arrested from Meerut in a Joint Operation by UP ATS and Punjab Police

New Delhi: A wished Khalistani terrorist was arrested in a joint operation by Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on Saturday (May 30). According to police, the Khalistani terrorist recognized as Tirath Singh.

Tirath Singh is linked with the Khalistan motion on social media and police have recovered posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and another suspected supplies from his possession. Further interrogation of Singh is presently underway.

ATS officers mentioned that he was in a twenty-twenty referendum group on Facebook.  The UK-based group has members from 180 international locations. A case of anti-national actions was registered in opposition to Tirath Singh in Mohali’s State Operation Cell.

Tirath Singh was arrested after Punjab Police offered details about him to UP ATS. It is learnt that Singh was booked by Mohali poilice underneath in the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) act in January 2020.
