New Delhi: Ministry of Defence (MoD) is now prepared for an enormous push to Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. MoD will introduce import embargo on 101 items past given timeline to spice up indigenisation of defence manufacturing, mentioned Rajnath Singh on Sunday, whereas stating it as an enormous step in direction of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliance) in defence.

The Minister additionally mentioned that the Defence Ministry has additionally bifurcated the capital procurement price range for 2020-21 between home and international capital procurement routes. A separate price range head has been created with an outlay of almost Rs 52,000 crore for home capital procurement within the present monetary yr, he mentioned.
