Amid corona scare, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has postponed academic excursions until April 15. Classes and sessional exams have been suspended until March 22. The college has requested to not conduct conferences, seminars, extensions lectures, workshops, corridor capabilities, sports activities and different occasions as a precautionary measure in view of novel coronavirus risk.
Classes have been suspended in all its maintained establishments at Aligarh together with faculties.
“During a special meeting of top university officials presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor, it was decided today that all conferences, workshops, educational tours and sports programmes have been postponed till March 31,” mentioned AMU spokesperson Omar Peerzada.
He mentioned that “all examinations of the university and schools will be held as per schedule”.
The college has requested college students to seek the advice of lecturers through e-mail for assist (if required). Off-campus centres of AMU in West Bengal, Bihar and Kerala will comply with directives of the respective state, the spokesperson mentioned.
