New Delhi: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief and Lok Sabha MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on Sunday stated she was asked by a CISF officer at the airport whether or not she was an Indian.
The question was posed to her by the Central Industrial Security Force lady officer when Kanimozhi asked the previous to talk to her both in Tamil or English.
The DMK chief put out a tweet over the difficulty, expressing her angst over the incident.
“Today at the airport a CISF officer asked me if “I am an Indian” when I asked her to talk to me in Tamil or English as I did not know Hindi. I want to know from when being Indian is the same as understanding Hindi,” she posted on her tweet together with the hashtag #hindiimposition. (ANI)
