Centre’s Preparations Against Coronavirus “Not Visible”: Congress

The Congress alleged on Saturday that the federal government is missing in its preparedness to fight coronavirus, with senior chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi deal with the nation on containment measures taken to this point.

Congress’s senior spokesperson Ajay Maken claimed the federal government’s preparations to deal with coronavirus will not be seen.

Asked about BJP chief Kailash Vijayvargiya’s reported remarks that there have been a number of gods and goddesses within the nation and subsequently coronavirus cannot trigger any hurt, Mr Maken stated he wouldn’t prefer to touch upon it as everybody has their very own religion and beliefs, however stated there are questions over the federal government’s preparedness in coping with the unfold of the illness.

“Like Rahul (Gandhi) ji has repeatedly stated, the federal government’s preparedness isn’t seen,” Mr Maken advised reporters, including if the federal government is prepared, then the gods and goddesses will even assist us, but when it isn’t, then no assistance will come.

“So it is a matter of sadness that the government’s preparations are nowhere to be seen and god forbid, if this (virus) increases tomorrow, the government’s preparedness is not there,” he alleged.

Congress chief in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, in a tweet, demanded that the prime minister deal with the nation on the current standing of COVID-19 and the containment measures taken to this point.

According to the Health Ministry, 84 coronavirus instances have been reported throughout the nation to this point, whereas two have died attributable to COVID-19 illness.
